AIR: via Pacific Coastal Airlines daily from Vancouver. If a float plane is required for your trip, it leaves from Eagle's Nest Resort.
SEA: via Discovery Coast ferry service between Port Hardy on Vancouver Island and Bella Coola. (Anahim Lake is two hours east of Bella Coola.)
ACCOMMODATION en route
We recommend:
- Eagle's Nest Resort and the Dew Duck Inn on Anahim Lake for the night before your trip and for the final night. Both these resorts are an easy 30 minute drive from the trailhead. They will provide transportation from the airport and transportation to the trailhead.
- Rivers Edge Guest Cottages at Kleena Kleene, half way between Williams Lake and Bella Coola, has a range of comfortable and well-equipped log-cabin guest houses at $58 - $85 a night.
We are happy to assist you in your travel planning and will help you arrange transport and accommodation for your Chilcotin adventure.
EMERGENCIES
We carry a satellite phone for emergencies on the trail and have a message contact number for guests needing to be contacted while on the trip
WHAT GUESTS SAY
My experience with the Dorseys was exceptional. They are by far the most professional outfitters I have some across in years. Their sensitive attitude towards the environment and the way they care for their horses is exemplary. The meals were gourmet and their clients were looked after in a very professional manner. The Dorsey's provided me with a sense of history and a feeling for the area we travelled in - they know it intimately.

We found horse-assisted hiking to be the ideal way to explore Tweedsmuir Park, especially as one of us likes to ride while the other prefers to hoof it. Both of us appreciated the fact that the horses carried our packs, along with the ingredients for Joyce's campfire kitchen creations. Can't wait to discover more of the Chilcotin with Tweedsmuir Eco Adventures.

It didn't take long back in the city to start dreaming of campfires and mountains again! Your trips transport one from one world to another and I thank you for memories that will last a lifetime.
